WHEN: April to October
WHY: Spain is lively and energetic, and perfect for those who enjoy bustling cities, palm tree lined beaches, long leisurely dinners and vibrant cultures. It is a country with a strong identity that can be felt in every region, no matter how diverse the local customs. In Barcelona Gaudi’s architecture is characterful and colourful with Sagrada Familia being the piece de resistance of his work. Dinners will include late night tapas and sangrias, and paella is a must try on any trip to Spain. A drive to the countryside takes you through olive and orange groves and picture-perfect vineyards. It allows the opportunity to taste some of these local grown delights including some of Spain’s most famous oils and wines. Andalusia is home to the famous Alhambra, Alcazar and highly unique Mezquita. The region is a cultural blend of many different influences throughout its history and an incredible place to learn about and visit. Some of the country’s best beaches are found on its islands, where you could spend a week alone.
